My plans for 2026

Greetings all you who have stumbled upon this blog post of mine and blessed be you all. In this blog post, I wish to briefly go over the things which I am planning on doing this year. This is the first year that I have been around and there are already a number of different things which, I feel, require my attention.

Firstly, we have been having a great deal of trouble at work as of late. The tasks which we have been given are even less enjoyable than usual and finding the motivation to get up in the morning and actually properly work has been nearly non-existent. Therefore, I shall attempt to try and be more productive at work and we shall try to employ a tactic which implies telling someone of the plans which we have for a given day and then urging them to check back in on us after a certain amount of time. Doing so shall, hopefully, make it so that we shall feel a certain amount of “shame” should we come back to them emptihanded and, thus, making it more likely for us to actually do our work.

Additionally, I wish to work on a number of different personal projects – a number which has been steadily increasing. Our system’s main webpage (heliacal.systems) is the one which I am focussing on most intensely at present, and there are a variety of things which I still wish to add. The blog is the newest addition as of writing this post, and I very much wish to write blog posts about various things on here in the near future. I also wish to add more features to the blog as well as add more information about each one of us (this is especially true for Hex for whom I wish to create an overview page detailing all its kintypes).

Aside from that, there are plenty of features that I still wish to add to our fronting information service (front.heliacal.systems) and I wish to make it so that the data is also stored in our own database (as it is, currently, only stored on PluraKit’s API). I have also been thinking of writing a small Rails application which will serve as a sort of chat between the three of us; and whilst there are, of course, readily-available solutions for this, I wish to write this on my own, mostly as practice.

I also wish to acquire some more attire for myself and have been thinking of buying some yellow or golden shirts for me to wear; the caveat here being that a lot of them can appear somewhat tacky. Other than that, things such as pendants, rings, necklaces or other such accessoires would be quite enjoyable and I also wish to try and paint my nails (though this is something which I am planning to do with one of our partners who shall visit us next month).

Reading is another task which I am very much looking forward to doing and there are a number of books regarding mythology and religion which, already, have caught my eye. I also wish to engage in discussions about said books and the topics and themes which they discuss. Somewhat related to this is the fact that I wish to try and medidate more often and for longer, especially before sleep. I have also come to enjoy working on emoji, logos and icons and wish to continue working on that in the coming months.

These are very much not the only things which I am planning on doing, but I believe it should be a brief overview of the major projects and other things which I wish to accomplish. Thank you for reading my very first blog post and I very much wish to write more in the near future. Blessed be you all
